"Sorry to disappoint any, uh, spanking fetishists who may be reading – Ghostwridah‘s latest feature has absolutely nothing to do with sore posteriors. The Red Bottoms referred to on the inaugural leak off the emcee’s forthcoming mixtape (making its world premiere in the Booth!), are the kind found on all Louboutin high heel shoes, as referenced in Hova‘s I Know. Here, the Miami native calls attention to a seldom-discussed, but very real ailment that preys on the pocketbooks of women and, sometimes, the men who love them: the shopping addiction. Backed by Don Cannon‘s glitzy synth instrumental (and mixed by Miami Beat Wave), Ghost describes the havoc that lavish spending can wreak on the lives of females, from college-aged vixens to thirtysomething mothers. Imploring women with a fetish for luxury goods to step away from the mirror and open their eyes to the bigger picture, the artist sends a lyrical message rarely heard in the appearance-obsessed world of popular music. If you were in Miami this past weekend hopefully you had the opportunity to check out the Cool Bowl featuring Ghostwridah, Curren$y Spitta and Dom Kennedy. I heard it was a dope show, wish I could have been there.

Ghostwridah, if you never heard of him, I suggest you find out real quick. He is definitely doing his thing and 2010 is his year. Stay tuned for dope music from him.

"This song is dedicated to the fight for peace in the communities strongly affected by gang violence, racism, school shootings, etc. It is my hopes that myself [GhostWridah] along with Smitty of Interscope Records and Miami Beat Wave (Producer's of the song) can play (at least) a small role in creating awareness of this ongoing problem. I created records like dying to survive, and my brother to not fall out out line with music that promotes murder, and negativity to show that good music can be made without compromising our communities and youth. They follow us [hip-hop artist] and look up to us. We have a responsibility to the youth of tomorrow and we have thee absolute largest outlet in America, music. I, by no means am innocent in this matter. Before growing into the person God allowed me to be, which is myself I once made music that provided negative images of my culture because I felt that was the necessary criteria for a rap artist. Now I understand fully and here is the proof. Ladies and gentlemen, My brother." - GhostWridah
This song is the lead single off of Miami Beat Wave's [The Launch] Compilation

I ran into this mixtape by accident, my boy, MoGeezie hit me up on Twitter with the link, so I had to check it out. The mixtape is called "305s & Heartbreaks" by Ghostwridah and as soon as I saw 305 I had to see what's up, since I have made love for Miami.
He took the idea from Kanye's "808s & Heartbreaks" but he does it great justice and he is speaking the truth. Not typically what you would expect from Miami but I am feeling it.
